Intercultural training promotes the development of cultural sensitivity and intercultural competence. They make it easier to deal with cultural differences in your work context. Knowing more about communication methods and manners in other cultures has a demonstrably positive impact on your international co-operation, your foreign assignment or your market entry. In addition, more and more employees within a company or institution today come from different cultures. This situation also requires intercultural competence on the part of all those involved.

Cultural awareness

Cultural awareness training lays the foundation for dealing with cultural differences in a culturally sensitive way. These training courses are about analysing one's own culture and values and getting to know the values of other cultures. The aim is to communicate and interact with members of other cultures in a culturally sensitive way and to utilise cultural diversity as a resource in the work context.

Culture-specific training – EUROPE AND ASIA

Culture-specific training courses provide insights into the everyday working and living life of the target cultures. Karin Schreiner has been running culture-specific training courses on European and Asian countries for eighteen years. She draws on a wide range of experience in the countries she offers and bases her training programmes on the latest findings in the intercultural field.

Karin Schreiner has in-depth expertise in Asian countries, particularly India, China, Japan and South Korea. In Asian countries, communication and interaction in particular are different from those in Europe. Indirect communication, the importance of non-verbal signals and a pronounced sense of hierarchy as well as politeness characterise interactions in this part of the world. Professional activities in Asian countries should take these cultural differences into account in order to successfully achieve set goals.
